Established in 1991, Haulover Beach is Florida’s first official clothing‑optional beach — and one of the most famous naturist beaches in the world. On busy days, as many as 7,000 naturists visit its pristine shoreline.

🚗 Parking & Navigation Tips (Trust Us on This One)
If your GPS is anything like ours, it will try to lead you astray. Haulover’s parking is not on the beach side of the road — it’s across the street. You’ll park, then walk through one of several underground tunnels to reach the sand.
Our favorite setup:
- Park near Tunnel 3 or in the north lot
- Use the nearby bathhouse (note: one was closed during our visit, but another was just a short walk away)
- Set up near the food truck and restrooms for convenience
Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy — but that first visit can be confusing.
🌊 Our Experience: April Sunshine & Birthday Celebrations
We visited in mid‑April to celebrate my birthday — and what better way to spend a birthday than in your birthday suit?
The weather was perfect:
Warm but not hot.
Breezy but not windy.
Busy but not crowded.
The water surprised us most. It was calm, clear, and warm — gentle enough that we could walk nearly 100 yards offshore during low tide and still stand on a sandbar. The color was that dreamy blue‑green you see in postcards.
We spent two full days soaking it all in with our best friends. Sunshine, laughter, ocean dips, and good company — the perfect naturist getaway.

Haulover is affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation, and the atmosphere reflects that. It’s respectful, relaxed, and well‑monitored. Lifeguards and Miami‑Dade police patrol regularly, ensuring everyone behaves appropriately.
We did see a few families during our visit, and everyone kept to the naturist values of respect and non‑sexualized nudity.
